I dreamt that you and I (with others) were at a church conference. I had been moved from one area and seated up front near the platform. I was happy to get a good view and I realized I had been seated in the middle and you were to my left and Pastor Ramona Franklin was to my right. I hadn’t even knew you were there before then and it just so happened the attendant sat me next to you. The preacher had also adjusted his angle to the people so we had a good view. And he asked for a white board as if he preferred to teach. He started saying curse words and we were shocked. Then the platform shifted and we couldn’t see him at all but could still hear his voice in the place. We were upset because the preacher of the conference was not ministering the Word of God and decided to leave. Sis Ramona stayed. I saw Barbara Battle too and you two headed out. You said we should leave and all meet at the church to discuss what had happened at the conference. Me, you, and Barbara all started walking out of the place. The conference was outside in a big field because there was not a big enough arena to hold the crowd and people were everywhere. I had to retrieve my two winter shawls (one black and one green) and my other stuff so I fell behind. I had a little bit help me reach them because I couldn’t get back to the chair I originally sat in as the crowd had filled up the place. He was able to give me the green one but couldn’t reach the black one. It had fell down and was almost hanging over the chair and I didn’t want it to fall on the ground. I finally got it after some effort. When I tried to catch up to ya’ll I couldn’t see ya’ll anymore and was going to call you to ask which direction ya’ll went in. I came to a stop and could have went straight or to the right (and tons of people were on both paths)! I decided it was easier to text you than call because it was so noisy with the crowd. I started to text and then I woke up!
Your dream is rich in symbolism and hints at various aspects of your life, including your relationships, beliefs, and personal challenges. Here’s a detailed interpretation:
The church conference is an important setting that represents a quest for spiritual growth, community, and understanding. Being seated up front near the platform indicates a sense of desire for closeness to a source of enlightenment or guidance. It reflects your readiness to engage deeply with your beliefs as well as your search for authenticity in spiritual matters.
The juxtaposition of the preacher speaking curse words, followed by a platform shift blocking your view, indicates a disillusionment with authority figures in your spiritual landscape. This could symbolize your concern over hypocrisy or a desire for genuine, unfiltered truth rather than embellished or insincere teachings. As the conference intended to uplift you spiritually, the shock and subsequent dissatisfaction suggest a critical evaluation of what you are being taught or how you receive it.
The busy field where the conference takes place represents the overwhelming nature of society and the pressures from external expectations. You struggling to navigate through the crowd indicates feelings of being lost or unsure in your path, suggesting a need for clarity amid chaos.
Retrieving your winter shawls, particularly the effort to get the green one and the difficulty with the black one, may symbolize aspects of your identity and emotional warmth. Shawls often provide comfort and protection. The black shawl, which you were particularly concerned about losing, may represent deeper fears or unresolved issues you are trying to hold onto amidst the tumultuous environment (the conference) you're in.
The choice to text instead of calling reflects your desire for clarity and efficiency in communication, especially in difficult situations. It suggests an awareness of the noise around you—that distraction and chaos may hinder direct verbal communication or deeper connection.
Overall, this dream suggests you are currently undergoing a significant review of your spiritual beliefs and the influences that shape them. You are evaluating authenticity within your community and your own beliefs, navigating challenges, and seeking clarity on your path. The dream encourages you to continue seeking your truth, surrounding yourself with supportive figures, and striving to maintain your self-identity in the midst of external pressures.
Take the emotions and symbols from this dream as insights to reflect on your current life situations and relationships—what feels right, what causes disruption, and how might you proceed in creating more alignment with your values and goals?
